Artist Profile

“When you do things from your soul, you feel a river moving in you, a joy.” - Rumi

Priya Sharma Asencio is an artist based in Los Angeles. She is an intuitive painter who is inspired by music, spirituality, and nature. She creates from the heart and enjoys showcasing the brighter side of life. Color is key when she paints as bold colors are represented in much of her work. Her use of color and composition are meant to spark feelings of joy, balance, and tranquility.

She believes art doesn't need to be put in a category, and creation itself, is the reason to make art. Priya's aesthetic is an external manifestation of her internal feelings, so it doesn't look like any one thing.

Her pieces challenges the idea of style, understanding it is always evolving, and never confined to a box.
